| Founded in the spring of 2006, the Chelsea Writers' Workshop is a group of creative writers who meet every other Saturday morning throughout the spring and fall. During the summer we hold special events, seminars, and open mic readings. Our writers write novels, short stories, creative nonfiction, memoirs, poetry, drama, flash fiction, children's books, and some other things not so easily defined. Each Saturday, three writers have their work critiqued by the others. Once each season, a published author joins us to lead the critique and answer our questions on writing, publishing, getting an agent, and other topics of interest. Our members are over 18, computer savvy (submissions are uploaded to a group site) and serious about writing. Some of us have won contests and writing awards. BUT, we also encourage writers who have never workshopped before to join us for useful feedback, sharing of information about writing, moral support, and general hilarity!
