Gabby’s colorful childhood travels have given her a strange outlook on life and interest in the extraordinary stories of seemingly ordinary people. Gabby was born in Brooklyn, New York, and has lived in five states in 21 years—giving her both a vast array of experiences and a sense of hometownlessness. In addition, she has travelled along the entirety of both the East and West Coasts as well as the Southern border of the United States. She is the oldest of five children and a member of a rather large extended family—this experience makes her particularly interested in stories that involve families.
