Eastern Michigan University Theatre is dedicated to providing entertaining and enlightening theatre for our audience and to expanding the knowledge of our students and their ability to create the theatrical event. Our Mainstage season runs from September thru June and features a minimum of six faculty or guest artist directed productions. The student-directed Laboratory season produces as many as 15 works annually including a student-written one-act festival. Additional opportunities are available in our touring troupes and thru special event performances.

FLY Children's Art Center

FLY Children’s Art Center is a non-profit organization in Ypsilanti, Michigan whose mission is to provide meaningful art making experiences for children ages 3-10. We offer classes in our community for a small fee, as well as activities inside public schools at no cost to the students. Young children need every opportunity to learn how to be critical thinkers, risk takers and creative problem solvers. This lays the groundwork for their future greatness. The programming at FLY Children’s Art Center is open studio format. Supplies and tools are arranged cafeteria style, inviting each child to select what ever they wish. Children in our sessions engage in the process of decision making, problem solving, creative ingenuity and ultimately art making.

SOS Community Services is dedicated to preventing and ending homelessness in Washtenaw County. Recently the agency was named the Housing Access for Washtenaw County—the single point of entry for anyone experiencing a housing emergency in the county. Our programs include shelter and transitional housing, employability and educational assistance, parenting programs, therapeutic child care and after-school children’s programs.
