I play guitar and dabble in just about anything else I can get my hands on. I've been playing for about 7 years. I'm not very well educated musically. I have a loose understanding of basic music theory but in general just (as admittedly trite as this sounds) play what I feel.
Specifically as a guitarist, I'd say my biggest influence is Johnny Marr. I like the parts I write to have a similar intricacy. I love tinkering with chords to find just the right voicing.
More broadly as a musician, I'd say my primary influences are Sonic Youth, Radiohead, SIlver Jews, Modest Mouse, Tom Waits, Them Crooked Vultures, and the Black Keys.
I'm interested in playing in any sort of experimental rock group.
